Determine the precision of the Non Magnetic Downhole Deviation Tool by performing a repeated measurement test

We do an experiment to prove the accuracy and reliability of the downhole survey tools as :

We do downhole survey in 4 steps at entire depth of a borehole in 750 m depth.

At first stage when the borehole depth reaches to 200 meters with HQ size. We do downhole survey from the borehole collar to 200 meters depth.

At the second stage we continue drilling with HQ size up to 350 meters. At this depth we do downhole survey again from borehole collar to 350 meters depth.

At the third stage we continue drilling up to 660 meters with NQ size. At this depth we do downhole survey again from the borehole collar to 660 meters

At the fourth stage we continue drilling to 750 meters depth and repeat downhole survey from borehole collar to 750meters in NQ rods

The results of these four phases of deviation are presented in this report.

Results Of The Experiment

 

The four deviations carried out at different depths, as well as the degree of repeatability of the data measured in the tough environment and inside the rodes, are shown. The graph below shows the repeatability of the borehole displacement from the designed path. As shown in the diagram, the maximum variation in the measurement of the deviation at a depth of 200 meters is 35 cm and at a depth of 350 meters 36 cm and at a depth of 660 meters at about 49 cm. This means that the accuracy of the measured deviation at 750 meters is less than 1%.
